HAD&P Wedding Graphic Design (From Fun to Formal)

Today's post is written by Elizabeth Locke, a freelance writer and blogger.  When Megan and Clayton announced Charleston, South Carolina as their destination wedding location, HAD&P was honored and excited to design a full package of invitations, ranging from the bachelorette party to hospitality cards to the wedding program.

Megan’s wedding colors were navy and coral. Navy is a classic color that incorporated the natural aspects of the sea and harbor into the wedding theme. Coral accents brightened the theme through flowers and decorations. The color combination created striking invitations, save the date cards and welcome brochures that reflected the bride’s chic taste.  Pineapples were included in the designs as a welcoming motif, representing hospitality and southern charm.

From the engagement to the wedding weekend, HAD&P designed the following to celebrate the couple:

  • Save the date
  • Personalized stationary and thank you cards
  • Bachelorette party invitations
  • Kitchen shower invitations and coordinating recipe cards
  • Cocktail party invitations
  • Welcome party invitations and brochure
  • Wedding program

These beautiful save-the-date cards were designed to communicate important wedding details to guests. The tri-fold included geometric prints and accents of lace.

The kitchen shower invitations and recipe cards were fun, bright and festive.

The nautical themes extended to the cocktail, bachelorette and welcome party invitations.

The navy and cream wedding programs were enhanced by lace accents on the front.

Congratulations to the wonderful couple! We loved celebrating this special time with you. To see more, check out Megan and Clayton's engagement photos and bridal photos.

Inscriptions on the Boulevard

I mentioned that I had worked with Inscriptions on the Boulevard recently and I'm so excited to share this post!!! Sarah is one of my new friends here in Fort Worth and I'm obsessed with her store. They have a bit of everything for everyone. From paperies of foil, letterpress and pre-printed cards to baby books and gifts, Inscriptions is truly a one stop shop for the modern socialite. They have Jon Hart and even my favorite baby bath product, Noodle & Boo! Seriously such great variety. I'm pretty much obsessed with anything letterpress right now and was so excited to photograph some of Sarah's favorite designs for her upcoming ads. Go check out all Inscriptions has to offer, it's a really great place to start your holiday shopping!!

Hill Maternity, Newborn, Announcement & Nursery Decor

I've been so excited to blog this session, but in classic HAD&P style have found myself behind on the social media aspect of business!! Lauren & Chad Hill welcomed their precious son, Hudson Hill, into the world in August. Lauren trusted me with their maternity pictures, newborn pictures, baby announcements, and some fun wall art in their nursery. I love when I get to work with someone on so many aspects of a project, because it really makes for a more consistent end result. This sweet family is so precious and I enjoyed working with them on every step of the way!! Welcome to the world sweet baby Hudson.

Hudson's Custom Wall Art:

I drafted the custom damask shape from Hudson's bedding into CAD and had it extracted with a laser cutter. We painted and glued it together and displayed Hudson's cute name underneath it for a totally custom look!

Bailey Ladies

I met Dwayna when I underwent an elaborate hunt to find a hair dresser that could do my hair for our wedding. Seeing as how I had never been happy with an up-do since 8th grade (including 9th-12th grade homecomings AND proms.. I mean having a small head is tricky...) this was quite a task. A mutual friend referred Dwayna and said she was great.... So it was on.... I would test her with my bridal portrait and see how it went....well she MORE than thrilled me with what she came up with!! I was SO pleased at the way she made my hair look- it was classic and simple and went right along with the theme of our wedding. I fell in love with Dwayna and have been going to her ever since. She is an amazing person and I always learn a little something from her during our 3 hour appointments once every 2 months :) Oh! One more thing, she sells Arbonne and it's amazing, hit her up if you need some!

I was very flattered when Dwayna called me for two projects, a graphic design job and a portrait session with her and her daughter Sarah. We had SUCH a blast at the Funky Door where we started our shoot. We ended up out in the country on my parents land for some wintery outdoor field shots. These pictures were to be a surprise for their family for Christmas so I figure now it's safe to blog! Meet Dwayna & Sarah, beautiful mother & daughter!!

Here's a quick look at the graphic I designed for her
