Catherine and Todd tied the knot in Carmel, CA and I could not be have been more thrilled to tag along as their wedding photographer. It's always a dream come true to travel for wedding work and joining Catherine, Todd, their family and friends was the best part of it all. Catherine and Todd were beyond welcoming and made the entire wedding weekend incredibly fun and laid-back. Catherine has certainly gone from a client to a friend, and I am truly grateful for her sweet spirit.
Catherine and Todd were married in the historical Carmel Mission Basilica which dates back to the late 1700's. The church was breathtaking and it felt like we were frozen in time with subtle hints of history and age old relics surrounding the altar. Giulia Events took the couple's dream wedding reception and made it a warm and intimate reality. Guests were welcomed to the reception with a cocktail hour overlooking the Carmel Valley Ranch golf course. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres were passed while a jazz band played and guests mingled around fire pits. Catherine kindly had coordinating pink pasminas available for the ladies setup in a darling display near the guestbook. With the help of the amazing Christine Cater the reception took flight with dreamlike florals arranged in variegated tones and gold leafed chandeliers crowning the room. Catherine and Todd made their exit as guests waved them off with sparklers and enjoyed a lovely honeymoon in the British West Indies.
I will forever be grateful for this wonderful experience and even more so for the friendships made along the way. A big thanks to my girl Amanda Lackey for being the best travel buddy and second shooter, we had way too much fun on this trip!
